Vehicle Identification Number - VIN Inspection
Kansas Law, as well as most other states, require that a vehicle being registered in a state, for the first time, have the Vehicle Identification Number verified to ensure that the vehicle is not stolen and that the presented title is for the car being registered. Inspections are done at the Cloud County Sheriff Department Monday through Friday during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
Things you will need to bring with you:
- Title to the vehicle or certified copy from the Treasurer’s Office
- Your Drivers License
- $20.00 (administrative fee) (cash only)
